Retained search for COO - Live April 3rd 2023
As the Retail COO reporting to the Chairman, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the retail business. You will work closely with the Chairman to develop and implement strategies to drive growth, profitability, and operational excellence. You will be accountable for ensuring the company's retail operations are efficient, effective, and aligned with the overall business objectives.
- Collaborate with the Chairman to develop and execute the company's retail strategy, including identifying growth opportunities, optimizing store formats and layouts, and improving customer experiences.
- Ensure that all retail operations are aligned with the company's overall vision, mission, and values.
- Oversee the daily operations of all retail stores, including managing store managers, implementing best practices, and monitoring key performance indicators.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures for all retail operations, including inventory management, merchandising, and customer service.
- Manage the retail budget, including monitoring expenses and revenue, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Build strong relationships with vendors and suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure that product quality and pricing align with company standards.
- Develop and mentor the retail team to ensure that they have the skills, knowledge, and resources to achieve their goals.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, retail management, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of experience in retail operations, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven track record of driving growth, profitability, and operational excellence in a retail environment.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data and make strategic decisions based on insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams, including setting goals, providing feedback, and creating a positive work environment.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and deliver results.
