Ecommerce Manager – Japan

Overview

We are seeking an Ecommerce Manager responsible for managing day-to-day ecommerce trading across digital storefronts serving the Japanese market.

This role focuses on ecommerce trading performance, merchandising optimisation and campaign execution while working closely with marketing, content, product and client teams.

The position requires strong understanding of Japanese ecommerce customer expectations, digital merchandising and conversion optimisation.


Key Responsibilities

• Manage and optimise ecommerce storefronts using Shopify
• Support the launch of campaigns, product updates and promotions across sites
• Ensure ecommerce content and merchandising reflects local market expectations
• Monitor ecommerce performance and identify opportunities to increase conversion and AOV
• Analyse customer behaviour, search activity and best-selling products
• Test site functionality and resolve issues in collaboration with internal teams
• Monitor pricing competitiveness and market trends
• Track promotional codes and CRM campaigns performance
• Provide regular reporting on site and product performance


Candidate Profile

• Fluency in Japanese (spoken and written)
• Hands-on experience managing Shopify ecommerce storefronts
• Strong technical aptitude and attention to detail
• Comfortable working with analytics tools and performance data
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Advanced Excel / spreadsheet capability
