We are seeking an Ecommerce Director to own commercial performance and trading execution across a portfolio of international ecommerce stores.
This role is accountable for revenue growth, conversion optimisation and customer experience, working cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, Engineering and Client teams to deliver measurable outcomes.
You will lead a team of Ecommerce Managers and a Content function including CRM, Content and UX Specialists. The role combines commercial ownership with hands-on ecommerce leadership, ensuring traffic is converted into revenue through data-driven trading, strong merchandising and coordinated marketing execution.
Key Responsibilities
• Partner with internal client teams to achieve client-specific, country-specific and region-specific GMV targets
• Establish and enforce strong ecommerce trading discipline, including defined reporting structures, trading rituals and performance reviews
• Own ecommerce KPIs across the portfolio, including GMV, conversion rate, AOV, margin and returns
• Manage a growing team of country-specific and region-specific Ecommerce Managers
• Lead a team of Content, UX and CRM specialists
• Monitor daily, weekly and monthly performance against targets and implement corrective actions where required
• Drive incremental growth through structured testing, CRO and optimisation initiatives
• Own onsite merchandising, product presentation, navigation and promotional execution
• Use analytics and CRO tools to develop hypotheses, test improvements and scale successful initiatives
• Work with Content and Design teams to deliver compelling campaigns and conversion-focused user experiences
• Partner with Paid Media, CRM and Performance Marketing teams to align traffic acquisition with trading priorities
• Ensure marketing initiatives are commercially aligned and conversion-led
• Use customer insight and market data to inform demand strategy and optimisation
• Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering teams to prioritise feature development and resolve functionality issues
• Partner with commercial stakeholders to align strategic goals and deliver against commitments
• Influence and coordinate cross-functional stakeholders to deliver trading outcomes at pace
• Contribute to long-term ecommerce strategy and platform development
• Develop a deep understanding of each client’s ecommerce business, including UX, merchandising, payments, logistics and marketing
• Maintain strong knowledge of ecommerce best practices, international markets, consumer behaviour and industry trends
• Lead the collection and documentation of commercial and country-specific requirements for site updates, campaigns, marketing emails and promotional activity
Candidate Profile
• 8+ years of experience leading ecommerce or digital trading functions
• Proven commercial track record delivering revenue growth and KPI improvement
• Strong understanding of ecommerce analytics and CRO methodologies
• Experience working with demand generation channels including paid media, CRM and organic acquisition
• Comfortable balancing data-driven decision making with creative merchandising and UX thinking
• Highly organised and able to operate in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment
• Confident influencing cross-functional stakeholders and aligning teams around commercial objectives
• Experience working in international or multi-market ecommerce environments is advantageous
