As a member of the Retail Sales & Operations China Team, you will support the Vice-President Retail China by driving the operations function for retail stores. You will maximize sales, profitability and brand equity for the China retail organization through ongoing support and continuous improvement of in-store processes, systems & tools. Key Responsibilities: • Lead the development and improvement of retail capabilities and processes for own retail and/or franchisee’s retail operations • Work with the Head of China and other senior management in developing company strategies and new store opening plans • Work with the Asia Pacific Retail Partners in developing retail format designs and roll-out plans • Partner with Development Teams in China to generate pre-opening planning and analysis for new stores. • Manage the Retail Business intelligence reporting, planning and forecasting, to operate a Daily, Weekly, Monthly Business focused on KPI excellence and constant improvement, • Work with Asia Pacific Retail Partners to ensure implementation and compliance of global retail direction and processes. • Oversee and support Retail teams specializing in retail operations, retail information systems, POS planning and development, retail marketing and retail training • Responsible for setting performance goals for Retail departments with VP Retail • Drive continuous Improvement of retail, (Selling Skills, Product Knowledge & Coaching training, POS and Visual Merchandising implementation) to achieve retailing excellence and the highest level of customer service standards • Provide guidance and support where needed to the Operations functions in Hong Kong and Taiwan • Manage and recommend overall Retail related budget; review budgets proposed by Retail departments, • Manage the full Retail P & L for Own Retail , and in line with KPI’s • Manage a constant cost saving initiative to closely monitor operating costs. • Manage the improvement plans for non-profitable stores. • Proactively drive technology applications and development of efficient and effective processes across Retail departments • Constantly review all process and procedures to reduce complexity and improve productivity • Develop regular workforce and succession planning for retail organization. • Set performance and development plans with direct reports; review and evaluate performance in line with HR Policies • Proactively drive capabilities development of Retail teams and provide on the job coaching for direct reports • Set overall goals and guide development of Retail training programs , • Generate a high level of team work & communication / information sharing between all departments Qualifications: • Minimum 10-12 years’ experience with a leading retail company - ideally big food retail experience in the Asian market. • Substantial experience with retail planning and operations • Extensive management experience • Bachelor degree required and advanced degree in business or related fields preferred • Fluent English / Mandarin |
