Job Profile: Working as part of the Corporate Communications team, with accountability for leading the approach to social media and digital communications. Focused on building and protecting online reputation, optimizing new media technologies to support communications and on supporting individual brand teams in the creation of best practice social media engagement. Key Performance Areas to include but not limited to: Lead on understanding of social and digital media environment and the opportunities/challenges it presents • Develop short and long-term plans for optimizing online presence through existing and emerging digital channels • Identify and develop internal/external communications strategies to reflect new channel opportunities (apps, smart phones, etc) Manage online corporate reputation • Develop, manage and monitor online corporate profile • Establish programmes and processes for building online engagement and for monitoring and responding to online comment • Drive development and evolution of company website (initial content from external comms team) • Drive development and evolution of company intranet (initial content from internal comms team) • Identify and develop new media channels which support communications objectives • Identify stakeholders such as Customer Care who can support online engagement • Contribute to communications crisis management process – with emphasis on online reputation management Support brand teams usage of social media channels • Support the brand marketing teams in the creation of appropriate online communications programmes (ie social media campaigns, search engine optimization (SEO), mobile campaigns, apps, digital planning, tracking, etc) • Develop and monitor usage of core online policies and processes which ensure brand alignment with values and operating standards • Develop appropriate evaluation and monitoring tools • Provide coaching and training to the brand teams • Share and develop international and internal best practice |
