This will be one of the best opportunities this year to join a leading business who impact retail on a truly huge scale. This role will involve travel but the core role will be based in Central Europe. The Head of Trading will be a senior level / executive level buyer / category manager with diverse experience across all major product groups with in the food retail supermarket / hypermarkets sector. Not necessarily of Director level already this role could lead to an exciting step change for a senior level manager. Managing a team of senior buyers across all categories with in food retailing you will have accountability for maximising sales, driving market share & delivering high levels of support to retail stores. Reporting to the board you will support in devising & delivering the strategic direction of the brand / s to achieve future growth and a solid trading platform. Ideally you will have international experience of sourcing in Europe and the far east. You will have significant experience from a major food retail business i.e. Auchan, Lidl, Aldi, Carrefour, Fozzy, Mercadona, Casino, Kipa, Tesco, Sainsbury, Coles etc and the ability to deliver through team engagement and encouragement. This role will offer the challenge of managing multiple commercial departments, growing not only key product groups but you will be challenged in negotiating on an international basis therefore you ability to communicate and build rapport will be second to none!
